DIEHL AEROSPACE GMBH

Diehl Aerospace is a joint venture between Diehl Aviation and its French partner Thales. With around 1,100 employees, Diehl Aerospace generates annual sales of approximately 250 million euros.

Diehl Aerospace develops and produces complex systems for avionics and cabin. These include modular avionics platforms, cockpit and display systems, flight control, engine control as well as cabin management and supply systems. The company is also a leader in cabin lighting systems.

In the military market segment, Diehl Aerospace has a strong expertise in avionics products on major European platforms as well as in international cooperation. The company also brings this experience to the European air combat system FCAS. Just glancing at its aviation portfolio demonstrates that Diehl Aerospace has extensive experience in product development, including in the areas of integrated modular avionics and platform avionics since decades. It’s precisely these capabilities that will be decisive: being able to guarantee speed, availability, security, and integrity; always and everywhere.

Since 2012, Diehl Aerospace has been involved in the national FCAS Master Plan and participated in the national FCAS/NGWS Concept Study. Since 2019, Diehl Aerospace has been an active participant in the German-French Joint Concept Study (JCS) for FCAS.

In addition to these activities, Diehl Aerospace is partner of the EDF programs EPIIC and EICACS. There, the company leads various work packages and tasks and thus actively contributes to solving technological challenges of the new generation of fighters and AI-supported collaborative manned-unmanned mission planning and execution.
