Next2U srl, former spin off of the Department of Neuroscience, Imaging and Clinical Sciences of the Univertsity of Chieti-Pescara (Italy) is high tech company deeply involved in research and development of affective computing, artificial intelligence, human-machine interaction. It develops tailored solutions for numerous fields of application, including civil and military aviation Pilot Monitoring Systems, automotive solutions, and social robotics. The solutions developed by Next2U take advantage of solid understanding of human psychophysiology and behaviour, monitored through non-contact or least-invasive technology, such as LWIR imaging, fNIRS, PPG and standard psychophysics sensing, powered by physiological modeling and AI techniques.
Within the EPIIC project, Next2U will contribute to the work packages WP7 and WP8. In WP7 Next2U will provide its expertise in the field computational psychophysiology for the monitoring of key pilot parameters. It will provide also with its knowledge of biomedical sensors such as fNIRS, LWIR, imaging, PPG, EEG, ECG and more.
In WP8 Next2U will contribute developing models for the monitoring of key pilot cognitive, physiological, behavioural functions.
