University of Patras

Established in 1964 in the city of Patras, Greece, the University of Patras (www.upatras.gr/en) commenced its operations during the Academic year 1966-67. It currently employs 713 Faculty members, 236 Scientific staff members, 418 Administrative staff members, and 2186 PhD candidates. 

In the EPIIC project, the University of Patras participates with the collaboration of two distinguished departments, the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics and the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics. 

The University of Patras actively contributes its expertise to two distinct work packages. In WP3, it is involved in conducting State of the Art analysis, exploring the Assumption of Future Interaction Modalities, and developing Strategies and Criteria for Adaptive Human-Machine Interaction (HMI). Moreover, the university plays a significant role in WP9, emphasizing Innovative Interaction Modalities. Within this work package, the university undertakes, among others, the critical tasks of analyzing the State of the Art for Multi-touch capacities as interaction means, and the State of the Art for Eye Tracking modalities as interaction means.
